In the context of rising warehouse rental costs, maximizing storage space has become a top priority for every business.
TÍN ĐẠT’s Double Deep Racking is the ideal solution to this challenge. Designed intelligently to increase storage density, this racking system delivers superior efficiency compared to conventional racks.
What is Double Deep Racking?
Double Deep Racking is a pallet storage system made by placing two selective rack rows back-to-back. Instead of accessing just one pallet from the aisle, Double Deep Racking allows you to store two pallets deep in each location. This reduces the number of aisles required, thereby significantly increasing warehouse storage capacity.
The standard structure of TÍN ĐẠT’s Double Deep Racking includes:
-
Load-bearing uprights: Made from high-strength steel, ensuring optimal load capacity for the entire system.
-
Frame bracing: Distributes forces evenly across the uprights, improving stability.
-
Beams: Where pallets are placed.
-
Column and barrier protectors: Ensure safety and minimize forklift impact damage.
-
Pallet guide rails (optional): Assist forklifts in positioning pallets more easily and accurately.
Outstanding Benefits of TÍN ĐẠT’s Double Deep Racking
With over 15 years of experience in manufacturing and installing industrial racking systems, TÍN ĐẠT is proud to deliver high-quality Double Deep Racking that meets the strictest customer requirements:
-
Double the storage density: This is the standout advantage, allowing you to optimize warehouse space by up to 80–90% compared to standard selective racking. You can store more goods within the same footprint.
-
Cost-effective investment: While offering superior storage efficiency, the investment cost of Double Deep Racking is usually similar to or only slightly higher than selective racking—delivering greater long-term economic benefits through space optimization.
-
Flexible design: Designed to European standards (EN 15.512:2009 / FEM), easily adjustable beam levels to fit various pallet sizes and product types.
-
Safety and durability: Made from high-quality steel, powder-coated or galvanized, with load capacities up to 2,000 kg/pallet, resistant to environmental impacts, ensuring maximum safety for goods and staff.
-
Suitable for multiple warehouse types: Ideal for warehouses with medium to large SKU counts, medium-to-long product lifecycles, and especially effective for manufacturing, cold storage, pharmaceuticals, paper, and more.
Limitations to Consider
Despite many advantages, Double Deep Racking operates on the Last In, First Out (LIFO) principle, meaning the last pallet stored is the first retrieved. As a result:
-
Reduced direct access: Only about 50% of pallets can be accessed directly from the aisle. To retrieve a pallet stored deeper, the front pallet must be moved.
-
Specialized forklift requirement: A Reach Truck or forklift with extended forks is required to access deeper pallets, which may increase initial equipment costs.
-
Not suitable for short shelf-life goods: Due to the LIFO principle, Double Deep Racking is not ideal for perishable products or those requiring strict FIFO rotation.
